Greetings to you in the wonderful name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
Tabernacle Pentecostal Church in Richmond, VA was established in the year 1990 by the late Reverend Cherian Kothakeri, who was a famous Indian Christian literature writer and a minister of the gospel. His mission was to reach out to the people of the Indian community in Richmond, Virginia. Having migrated from various areas of India, there are many people in Richmond who are not able to worship the Lord in their own languages. Tabernacle Pentecostal Church offers a home church to those who have not been reached due to their cultural differences and language barriers.
At present, we have more than eighty members attending the church regularly, speaking various languages such as Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Sinhalese. In addition to worship services in Indian languages, our ministries include Sunday school, Worship Service, Kid’s Church, Discipleship, River of Life, Prayerline, Ladies Meeting, Bible Study, Men’s Prayer, Mission & Outreach ministry and charity work. As the Indian community in Richmond is increasing day by day, more people are attending TPC.
